Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

For those of you who don't know the work of ~Styush please check her out. Her work has shown the growth of her family, through pregnancy and the early months and years of her daughters lives. There is so much love and beauty in her work.

I don't want to focus too much on her current suspension from this site. I simply want to bring some of her photos to your attention. Here are a few of my favourites:

If this is the last we see of this artist on DA, I will be very sad but at least I was introduced to her work here and now I can follow her in other ways. I think at this stage the hurt and slander she has experienced in this community may be out weighing the benefits of staying but her work touched me in the short time I was watching her. I hope she finds a better forum and continues to make her incredible art. Thank you very much ~Styush. You and your family are incredible.

I have always have to be careful also with erotic art, not to be porn. No offense to porn, though I have a fond for the classical taste of the old eras, insted of today's. Black and white are my favs. I must say, her work is beautiful, I have been doing research a upon her case since the beginning of what happened to her, it still buffles me.

I have always loved her pictures, I find them so intimate and nostalgic (coming from me that is a big call as I generally abhor children). This is going straight down the Sally Mann / Bill Henson path, and as much as images on the internet is forever, it is just as easy to get pictures of naked children elsewhere. Making it harder for paedophiles is definitely not a guarantee they will stop.

It's great you're doing a feature and exposing her work though!

Thanks for letting us know about this. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a way to contact the artist to offer support, but thanks to your linking to her book, I just ordered a copy. The few photos that you showed and that I was able to preview with the book convinced me that this is great work and the artist deserves our support.

I think we need to draw strict boundaries, especially with regard to children. Protecting them not from seeing some natural nakedness but from getting exploited through perverts. So its really sad for her great art to get banned, but on the other hand I understand the very difficult situation for dA to operate in (they also need to follow Claifornian law, whatever this dictates in that matter) - very tough chioces ...

i'm reserving comment on the suspension at this time, but i will state that i find her works to be some of the most aesthetically pleasing i've seen onsite in a damned long time, and i hope she gets the opportunity to submit more.
