Halohid types exactly how she speaks in real life (without the spelling mistakes).


It is true. I talk like some elderly, British woman who was ambushed by pot smoking political activist, resisted the pot, took the acid, picked up the swear words and can no longer be shocked by anything. I also swear in a Lancershire accent because it is the best accent to swear in. (Please note: I have never actually taken acid and never plan to.)

I thought I might try to compile a small list of Halohidisms which you may come across in my typing.

First up, the pet names. I am a massive fan of embarrassing pet names. They start off quite normal: dear, love, sweetheart, pet and sweetie. From there we move to possum, duckie, snugglepot and pumpkin. Then we get odder: pumpkin-berry, doll-face, my bonny lass, mushroom and mushroom-pants. If all else fails, I will just add Pants to the end of your name: Oliver-pants, Sarah-pants, Jeff-Pants and so on and so forth.

Next comes the patronising. I call everyone 'kids' and 'kiddies'. Please don't take offense at this. I even call my parents this. I try and avoid it with people just a little younger than me for fear that they will this it rude but I always forget and revert but to 'kids' within minutes.

Next we get Mr, Miss and Mrs added infront of any name. Sometimes I go Mr, Miss or Mrs Pants.

When I get excited I may state *wags tail* or, if I am trying to be discreet 'If I had a tail, I would so very much be wagging it right now'. In real life, this is replaced by 'this is my excited dance.' *demonstrates excited dance which involves much standing on one leg and flailing arms*

I sometimes describe my actions, thus: *pets* *licks screen* *chews keyboard* *gnaws own leg off* *becomes invisible and wanders off to regurgitate own leg* This happens in real life all the time.

From time to time my typing may be interupted by a misplaced but well intentioned beagle paw. Thus: ml,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,;,; I usually do not erase these additions.

In addition to this, I am dyslexic, so my spelling can be shocking, if spellcheck isn't doing its job.

That pretty much sums it up. Yell out if you think of any which I may have missed.

I love it. It is me and =photograjph at the launch of our exhibition opening. I was so, so happy that night and I like to share smilie Halohid photos from time to time just to prove that I actually do smile an aweful lot.


A note on my art:

My old viewers/watches all know this already so this is the rules for newbees.

First and foremost, I am a theatre practitioner. It is passion, my hobby, my job and what I study at university. I am a director, play wright, actor, lighting technician, stage manager and designer. It is also a massive influence on my photography and modeling.

As a collaborator I attempt to use the camera as a means to capturing theatre: still, silent theatre. I love what I do and I have an amazing group of collaborators around me. We take turns to be on both sides of the camera and work with each other's concepts.

Yes, I do fine art nudes, but these are not my passion. My passion is collaborative, concept driven work.

Yes, I do TFCD shoots as a model for some people. I will do them for students (particularly photography students), friends or people who's main source of income is their art. Does this make sense? Basically, I want to support other artists and students. I know how little money you have as I am also an artist and student and would never think of charging you. If it is your hobby I think no less of you but I assume that you have a little more money and probably much more money than me. If this is not the case, tell me and I'll see what I can do. I am much more likely to want to get on board if you have a concept, either fully developed or one which you would like help developing. My theatrical background means that I am best suited to this kind of work and I love things which engage me mentally, rather than being the nude prop. However, if you has so money and feel like feeding a poor starving artist, I am all up for being a prop.
