Last one from this series. A self-portrait with Gabriel Partington.
Its fun making art: you get to cuddle your friends on your parent's bed. ... Yep. Good times.
I'll be interested to see what you think of this. I usually avoid this sort of lighting (over-exposing the windows) but this time I just went for it and over-emphasised it and I really like the result. Tell me what you think!
Manically busy at the moment. Sorry all. I have a new show opening in a week and a half (if you are in Adelaide, let me know and I'll send you details, Melbourne gets its turn in March-April), a grant application I'm sending off in about an hour, a job application due in three days and I'm moving house. Eeek. That's all. Hope you're all well. Tell me something interesting about yourselves. I need something to distract me from my panic!
beautiful lighting. I think you're right on with it. I would have probably cropped it a bit tighter (the highlight side of the bed pulls my eye from your lovely face a bit) but that's like cream in your coffee... not right or wrong...just a preference. Lovely mood to this shot!
Thank you, Michael! Very much appreciated. I might have a look at the crop again when I'm back on the right side of the country(I'm over doing a show in Adelaide at the moment) and just have another play.
