Week 9 of my self-portrait series. 52 self-portraits in a year.
This came after the end of my last show, iexist.com
The show went incredibly well. I was so happy. Then I had to turn my attention straight onto the next step. Grant applications, writing about how my art will be a sustainable business, writing to schools to say 'you should totally pay me to come and work with your students'. I am so bad at this! I find it so difficult to write 'I am worth your money'. That day I had such a big panic that, to procrastinate and put off writing my grant application, I began writing a new play. That, I can do.
That day, I was fearful.
Other days I am not.
Art is tough.
