Day 3: I fade

Day 3: Day three can be told quite quickly.

I woke up stressing about the day and the self portrait. In the shower, I crouched on the floor, letting the water clear my brain. I watched the water running over my shoulders and decided that was my self-portrait.

Because of the shutter time I had to shoot on, you can hardly seen the stream but it is there. I love how ridiculously white my eyelashes are.

I spent about an hour photo editing (not on this, this took about 40 seconds). And then headed in to my 11am to 8pm shift. My first proper shift at my new job. By 2pm I had decided I was not cut out for the real work. I had forgotten how to smile at customers and there was just too much soap to hold on to in my mind. First days are always miserable, I guess. I'm sort of used to instantly being able to do things.

I came home. It is getting to spider season where I (extreme arachnophobia that I am) can not bare to have the car windows down in case a spider gets in. As windows are my cars only form of air conditioning, this is a very irritating phobia. I think, were I driving along and a huntsman spider appeared in my car, I would simply die. I wouldn't even bother crashing the car, just die spontaneously from fear. Irrational phobias, eh? What a laugh.

Salad. A jog with my housemate. A party. A welcome home to a friend who has been away. I spent most of the time in ~eckyducky's room, watching her clean it by candle light. We believe in fanning the ~TeamHyphenPants slashers from time to time.

Yes, a mighty dull day. But I like this photo a lot.
